The Cinder Demon is one of Malignus's four selectable Boss monsters and the most direct of the group in official media. Its published stat line leans toward Battle, and the screenshots show it fighting inside a ring of fire, setting a burning trail across the throne hall.

Confirmed stats
The New Dungeon boss select in the official press kit lists three highlighted stats per boss. It shows Battle 10, Cruelty 6 and Hunt 5 for the Cinder Demon; its Occult value is not visible in that screen.

Abilities and signals
Not every entry below is a named in-game ability. The status label matters: “Official UI” means the name appears in a published interface screenshot; “Official media” means the behavior is visible in official footage or a screenshot caption; “Named only” means the name is confirmed but its effect is not published.
Flaming Steps
Official mediaNamed in the official press kit's screenshot caption: the Cinder Demon leaves a burning path through the throne hall as it moves.
Ring of fire
Official mediaOfficial screenshots show the Cinder Demon fighting inside a ring of fire. The press kit does not publish a damage value, radius, duration or cooldown for it.
Death blast
Official mediaThe press kit's combat sequence shows a death blast rolling out in a ring of fire, followed by the shattered boss and fallen adventurers. This is visual evidence, not a published ability description.
Hoard scaling
Official UIBoss select states that each Boss reaches level 2 at 5 treasure and level 5 at 30 treasure, and gains 2 upgrade points per level. This is shown on the Baleful Eye screen and applies to the boss system as presented in the build.
Upgrades
Upgrade tree not published
Mossbomb has not published the Cinder Demon's upgrade names. The official boss-select screen shows upgrade icons, but no labels are readable.
How to play Cinder Demon
The advice below is editorial. It uses confirmed stats and official visuals, but it is not a recorded playthrough or a tested tier list. Treat it as a planning framework for the current build.
Build the throne room as a fighting room
A boss with Battle 10 is the one you expect to commit to the defense line. The official screenshots put the Cinder Demon in the throne hall, not tucked away in a back room. That supports a layout where the throne sits on a route adventurers must cross, with minions able to join the fight. Treat this as an editorial read of the listed stats, not a tested meta claim.
Respect the boss's wounds
Dungeon Management's Grumbling screen includes a confirmed complaint called “Saw the Boss get wounded.” Keeping the Cinder Demon in every fight may carry a morale cost. The published UI does not give the exact trigger threshold, so watch the Grumble list after your first invasion rather than assuming a safe number of hits.
Do not assume fire is friendly
The official media shows fire effects in a crowded melee, but the public material does not say whether the Cinder Demon's flames harm its own minions. Until the game documents friendly fire, keep a mixed defense plan rather than building a strategy around standing in the flames.
What we still don't know
- The Cinder Demon's Occult stat is not shown in the boss-select screen.
- No upgrade names or effects have been published.
- The damage, radius and cooldown of its fire effects are not documented publicly.
- Friendly-fire behavior is not confirmed.
